and I am destined to have an opaque surrounding.

a star that always shines.
I am a goddess,
a deity that has all the fines.
Yet, I am harrased and assaulted
because I am a girl,
and all I need is to be faulted.
He says,
I am a daughter.
I am a prayer,
in the form of the purest air.
I am a light,
through me everyone can see sights.
Yet, I am put through all the blistery,
because I am a girl,
and I have a dark history.
He says,
I am a sister.
I am a friend,
by your side till the end.
I am blessed.
I can fight
and I have all the rights.
Yet, when I go out I am eve-teased to an extent.
because I am a girl,
and that is what I represent.
He says,
I am a girl,
I can love,
I can fly,
I can cheer,
I can touch the sky.
Yet, I am raped and left to die,
because I am a girl,
a girl in a pig’s eye.
