Cricket, Me & Him

Bewildered I am always,
when he talks of cricket.
A game of uncertainty he says,
which in my glossary, never got fitted. :/

When we are out for a date,
all he asks about is the run rate.
therefore to kill time,
I ate and ate…
and now he says that I have put on a lot of weight. πŸ˜‰

Bunny, rabbit and duck in the game
makes me think of some pet, he wants to tame.
T-twenty or Fifty-Fifty never matters,
when he is into it, he never wants to chatter. πŸ˜›

A one-day score or a test match score,
if I am home that’s all he would ask for.
However good he is in bed,
even after that, cricinfo is all he read. πŸ˜›

I am not sure if I will ever understand the cricket lingo,
And if I did that will be a BINGO !
For him, it’s always been a whim,
But the love for me has never gone dim.
I let go of it believing that I am on the brim,
after all,
it’s cricket, me and him. πŸ™‚
